YYA: 22nd July, Friday Night

After an activity with a nice “soup kitchen” and great prayer for the suffering, persecuted, and displaced, we are continuing with our regular bible studies for the next few weeks, starting this Friday on the 22nd July.

The worksheets/Bible study notes have been uploaded. You may have noticed a change in the website’s layout including menu item name changes, but they’re still under the Bible Study Notes menu item.

Stay warm in fellowship with God and each other!

YYA: Activity Night 15th July!

Hope you have been well this school holiday period! It was wonderful to celebrate the public testimony of 3 young believers today in baptism!

We’ll be continuing the break with no Friday night meeting until Activity night on the 15th July. While there’s a break during the school holidays, I’m sure you can find good fellowship, just ask around!

Come at 7pm on Friday 15th July, we’ll be having dinner and activity/sharing outside this time, so bring warm clothes!

Hope you all continue in edifying fellowship and loving Jesus!

No YYA for Friday 25th March, but there’s Good Friday Service at 10am! Also Activity Night after the break!

Hi everyone!

Just a reminder that there’s no YYA this week on the 25th March, we’ll be taking a break because it’s Good Friday! It’s Good because since the Righteous Jesus died for us unrighteous people, we who follow Jesus can be counted as righteous and live in eternal paradise with God! We can have assurance of this because God was pleased to raise Jesus from the dead on the third day -Easter Sunday. So come along and celebrate with us! We’ll have a Good Friday service at 10am on the 25th of March, and a Easter Sunday service during our normal Sunday service time of 10am 27th March!

YYA is also taking 2 weeks of term break after this, so we’ll come back on the 15th of April with an Activity Night (our new Sharing Nights which should be suited to inviting your friends to)! So start inviting your friends to come along to the Activity Night, where there’ll be fun and games!

Anzac Cookie Recipe! MCCC Christmas Celebration Night, 2015

Hi all,

If you are reading this post, chances are that you attended our Christmas Celebration Night on Saturday 19 Dec, 2015.

You would have received a jar of delicious dry ingredients to make Anzac Cookies! Here are the ingredients and the recipe below – it’s super easy and it’s suitable for the whole family to make together.

Dry Ingredients:

  • 3/4 cup all purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup shredded coconut
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 tsp bicarb soda

Just add:

  • 125g butter
  • 3 tablespoons golden syrup (substitute with treacle for a deeper, more caramelised taste)

Recipe:

  1. Preheat oven to 160 degrees (C) fan force, and line baking tray.
  2. Empty out dry ingredients from jar into a mixing bowl.
  3. Melt 125g butter.
  4. Add melted butter and 3 tablespoons golden syrup in bowl. Mix thoroughly.
  5. Roll out balls of cookie dough onto baking tray.*
  6. Bake for 15-18 minutes. Yields 18-20 small cookies or 10-12 large cookies.**

* Cookie dough should be a sticky consistency but still hold its shape when rolled out. Add more rolled oats if mixture is too wet.

** If it falls apart – also makes a delicious crumble!! Serve with baked apples and vanilla ice cream.

How did your cookies turn out? Ours are below! Why not bring your finished products to share with us one Sunday – we’d loved to get to know you more!

– MCCC Team
